Credibility & Coverage: Watch
These are not New Life productions and the clinics shown are not ours. We gather them because they show, honestly, why veterans and families are looking at this medicine, and why screening and medical care matter.
On Netflix
The documentary following Navy SEALs Marcus Capone, Matty Roberts and DJ Shipley through Ibogaine and Bufo (5-MeO) treatment in Mexico, and the Stanford study that measured veterans like them. Streaming on Netflix since November 2025.

The Joe Rogan Experience #2251
Former Texas Governor Rick Perry and Americans for Ibogaine's W. Bryan Hubbard make the veteran case for Ibogaine (addiction interruption, the Stanford findings, and the push for U.S. clinical trials) in the conversation that carried this medicine to a national audience.
The Joe Rogan Experience #2477
Perry and Hubbard come back to Rogan with what has happened since: Texas committing $50 million to Ibogaine clinical trials, the federal fast-track, and what U.S. medical access could look like. The follow-up conversation, straight from the two men driving it.
Shawn Ryan Show #010
Marcus and Amber Capone tell Shawn Ryan how blast exposure and traumatic brain injury nearly cost Marcus his family, and how a single psychedelic-assisted treatment, and the VETS organization they founded, grew out of that experience.
Start with safety
Every voice above points the same direction: powerful medicine belongs inside real medical care. At New Life that means EKG and heart evaluation, blood tests, toxicology, a full-time surgeon and two nurses on site, and being turned away if it is not safe.

Podcast & Media
Healing travels by story. This is where ours will live: the new podcast, the prayer that opens every ceremony, and the resources we hand to anyone who asks.
The Podcast
Honest conversations about Ibogaine, addiction, trauma, and starting over, with the people who’ve lived it, the clinicians who guide it, and the families who waited at home. No hype. Just the truth, told slowly.

Featured & Resources
On Screen
The new documentary everyone in this world is talking about. In Waves and War (2024), directed by Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk, follows three Navy SEALs, Marcus Capone, Matty Roberts, and DJ Shipley, whose PTSD, depression, and brain injuries had not yielded to conventional care, as they travel to a clinic in Mexico for Ibogaine and Bufo (5-MeO) treatment. It also follows the Stanford study that measured what happened to veterans like them. The film premiered at Telluride in 2024 and has been streaming on Netflix since November 2025.
It is not about New Life, and the clinic it follows is not ours. We feature it because it shows, honestly, and without hype, what this medicine and this journey can look like for the veterans who need it most. If someone you love is carrying what these men carried, start here.
